good for the basics. good for adult learners. good for home schoolers. when you buy a math textbook try to see if you can find a solutions manual.workbooks like these have none. good for review.

Nice and clean

I have recently decided to return to college to pursue something that requires math. There is a reason the old joke goes "English major, you do the math." I had forgotten a lot of it and this book is a tremendous help in re-learning those pesky decimals. I have so far been fortunate to skip several chapters on addition and subtraction but I find the narratives very helpful in explaning how to do problems and I like that there are multiple mini-tests sprinkled throughout each chapter. This is a very handy book for someone looking to refresh their skills. I would strongly recommend this book to someone who needs to re-learn basic math in a short amount of time. The book also comes with a guarantee that if your grades do not improve (I guess in this instance it would be my placement test scores) in 30 days you can get your money back simply by mailing the book and your original purchase receipt to the address inside the cover.
